Engineered Security Solutions, Inc. (ESS) announces the addition of Rich Hewitt as company president. Founder and CEO Brian Bautz will remain highly involved with increased focus on strategy and company culture.
Most recently Hewitt served as Vice President, Integration Sales, North America at a leading global security company. He has 25 years in the industry with many senior leadership roles across various companies. Hewitt will take over more of the day-to-day operations at ESS with an emphasis on integration security.

In addition to leading day-to-day operations, Hewitt will help bring new integrated product lines that most benefit the ESS customer base. Hewitt has a history of leading change in fast-paced environments dealing with disruptive technology.
Beyond the position, Hewitt was most interested in the culture of ESS. “The culture is focused on the people, both the employees and our customers. Part of that culture is being of great service to our customer and to each other as teammates. It's also about being the best,” said Hewitt. “Our CEO and founder, Brian Bautz, has done a remarkable job building the business from a start-up 18 years ago into an advanced security systems integration business. Bautz said that he was considering the addition for some time and approached Hewitt, having worked with him before. “This is a positive change that will really benefit our customers and this company. I need to remain forward focused and we have to keep on top of all the latest tech in this industry to continue provide our customers with the best possible solutions tailored to complex situations. I believe this new structure will allow more of that as we maintain all that has brought us this far.
